Please join Empower NJ for our Climate Lobby Day at the Statehouse in Trenton on Monday, June 10th from 9am-3pm.
RSVP today here
On Monday June 10th, we are coming together to urge our state legislators to join us in the fight against climate crisis. Thirteen proposed fossil fuel expansion projects throughout New Jersey threaten our drinking water, public health and safety, preserved open space, and our opportunity to build an efficient and resilient green economy. The state legislature will be on recess over the summer and will not return until after the November election, so now is the time to push them to act! We will be lobbying key legislators to support a moratorium on all fossil fuel projects, as well as other critical policies in the fight for a healthy and resilient climate future.
When: Monday, June 10th, 9:00am – 3:00pm
Where: New Jersey Statehouse Annex, 137 West State St., Trenton, NJ 08608 (we’ll follow up with the specific room we’ll be meeting in ASAP).
Directions to the statehouse garage are available here.
**** We will be scheduling meetings with legislators in advance, and lobbying legislators on the fly (we’ll train and show you how). So, come the entire time or any subset you can. ***
